Successful Construction with System Formwork & Scaffolding

East Work Construction introduced the PERI system — marking the first structured deployment of advanced formwork systems in North India.

Conventional shuttering methods were limiting slab cycle speed, finish quality, and cost efficiency.

A detailed evaluation of site performance identified major gaps in cycle time, labour dependency, and material wastage.

PERI systems were implemented to transition from labour-intensive execution to engineered, repeatable construction processes.

Three PERI systems were deployed across projects:

  • Handset Alpha - vertical elements (columns, walls)
  • Gridflex - slab systems with faster cycling capability
  • Multiflex - beam bottoms and complex geometries

This integration transformed execution from conventional practices to system-led construction with measurable outputs.

First Fair-Face Concrete in North India

The regional construction market predominantly relied on plastered finishes, with exposed concrete rarely used as a final architectural surface. East Work Construction identified this gap and led the introduction of fair-face concrete in North India, establishing a new benchmark in finish quality and construction methodology.Using PERI Birch Plywood (220 GSM) and customized PERI shuttering systems, projects achieved high-precision, form-finished concrete surfaces without post-casting treatment. At projects such as Trident Residence, curved slab geometries and architectural elements were executed with consistent surface uniformity and edge precision.

Innovative curing methods were implemented :

  • RO water curing to avoid surface staining
  • White cloth wrapping to ensure uniform hydration and finish consistency

Measured Performance Across Projects

  • 56% reduction in slab cycle time(from ~30 days to 13–14 days per cycle)
  • 20% reduction in overall labour costs through modular assembly and reduced manual dependency
  • ₹9,000–₹10,000 average monthly rental savings per project due to optimized material utilization and faster turnaround
  • 14+ projects successfully executed using PERI systems
  • Significant reduction in rework and material wastage due to improved alignment, accuracy, and repetition

Project Outcomes & Technical Impact

  • First large-scale fair-face concrete execution in North India
  • 100% elimination of plastering resulting in ~30% reduction in finishing cost
  • Uniform surface texture across slabs, beams, and vertical elements achieved through precision-controlled formwork
  • 30–40% reduction in finishing timelines due to elimination of secondary surface treatments
  • High architectural finish quality meeting exposed concrete design standards
  • Improved construction speed through PERI modular systems
The adoption of PERI systems and fair-face concrete did not just improve execution efficiency
It redefined construction quality standards in the region.
